ABOUT THE CABIN

Relax and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air, while you watch and listen as the land comes alive each morning with abundant waterfowl, deer, beaver, otter, moose and more. Grab a pole and fish for brook trout from the stream that runs throughout the 100+ acre property, and then enjoy a picnic lunch beside the waterfalls. Lots of lakes, hiking trails to explore, and a quiet river to kayak on one of those beautiful lazy afternoons. Kayaks available upon request. Only 40 minutes from Whitefish, Montana, the Canadian boarder, and only one hour from Glacier National Park. The Olney area is known for its unspoiled beauty. Feel free to bring your boat; there are many lakes for skiing and wakeboarding. Miles of trails can be accessed from your cabin door for four-wheeling adventures or snowmobiling the Olney trails, with or without a guide. If you don't have a snowmobile they are available to rent from local source. The cabin is furnished with a full bath, one queen size bed, and a set of bunk beds to accommodate 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children). Use our fully stocked kitchen to fry up fresh trout from the local lakes, barbecue on the deck, or join the locals at the country restaurant just down the road. Try an evening around the campfire searching for stars to end another perfect day at The Meadow Retreat. No TV, internet, or cell service is available except for emergency use.
